I had a three day English camp type thing at a school here in Saitama. These kids have all tested into this selective Junior high, so they are decently smart, and not lazy like my regular kids. haha. It was pretty fun. There were eight of us ALTs, and we had to teach the kids something cultural, which they would present on the last day to the rest of the school. I taught them how to gyotaku. I was thinking about taking them into the pool, and teaching them how to increase their breath-hold, but I didn't want any of them shallow water blacking out haha.

Japan is slowly warming up to the wonders of spam. The already have it overpriced at 4 dollars a can.

It is beyond hot right now. I brought this back from Hawaii cause there is apparently no antiperspirant in japan. If there is, they hide it in the back cause I don't think people are buying it. Lots of B.O. going on in Japan right now.

I need more than this one stick anyway. I need ten gallons, so I can just dip my whole body in it.

summertime

This is a semee, it signifies the Summer duration in Japan. These things are everywhere right now, and they make this cricket-like sound. "Wooooeeeeeeep Woooooooooeeeeeeep Weeeee weeeee" something like that. I'm not exactly sure where they come from. I don't see them flying around. They just magically appear in trees all over Japan, and then die and fall on the ground. Japanese Summer wouldn't be the same without them though.

back to the motherland

just in time for a hurricane. Hawaii was awesome. i wish that I didn't have to come back. Oh well. This trip was all about the food food food. I gained five pounds in one week, which is pretty crazy. It's gonna take me one month to lose the five opunds. It was totally worth it though.

I did a little shopping.

Did a lot of eating.

Played a lot of poker (came out in the red/I suck)

Met some chill peeps dudes and girls.

Saw some of my family.

Saw all of Hunter's family minus Mrs. Hunter.

Played xbox.

Did I mention food?

Can't wait till next time.

Also 0-4 at NCAA 08. The worst was the last game I played, tried to rub it in with a two point conversion, and end up losing by one point. Cost me blueberry ice cream at LikeLike Drive in.
